Christmas in the Country

I got to visit the Central Valley of California this Christmas when I visited my husband Jay’s family. His family owns a large property in the country with orchards of plums and grapes, as well as an area bordering the riverfront. We helped watch little Allygan and River, and frolicked through the fields and dirt roads with the family dogs right at our heels. It was a child’s paradise!

Scott & Kristi ~ Maternity

What a blessing it is when a family takes the journey from a family of two to a family of three. The anticipation of meeting little Kaylee for Scott & Kristine is building, and they were so excited to have these photos taken in honor of their coming little one in just a month of so! This little teaser is a sneak peak of the highlights from the shoot, but there will be plenty more to come!

Doll/Vasquez ~ Family Session

After winter seemed to hold off for weeks and weeks, this shoot was one of the first days that really felt like winter was here, and Christmas was on its way. It was super cold out, but we had a fun time running around Centennial Park getting some great family photos. Hope you enjoy watching, and I’d like to give a special thanks to Emily and Eric for using me for your first Family Photos!

Reyes ~ Family Session

I am very grateful to the Reyes Family for the opportunity to use my new lens for the very first time for their Family Portraits at a local park in Fairview Heights, IL. What a gorgeous evening, the grass was green, and the family energy was contagious. It was an honor to see a couple with so much obvious love for their little boy, and one another.

We sure had to scramble for this shoot. Christmas Cards had to be sent out and we wanted to get the shot before it started snowing. And amazingly it held off just long enough, so the first tiny flakes fell just as we were packing up. It was freezing cold, and you can probably see it but I was so happy to get this shot with the fall colors and the old barn. Continue reading
